NY Cyclists! This is your call to action! Help get a "3 foot law" passed in NY - Contact your State Legislators to ask for their support !

3 feet will make a major difference in making our roads safer. With your help, we can make NY a safer state to bike. Please take a moment to email your legislators asking them to support a safe passing amendment that would require all motor-vehicles drivers to give bicyclists at least 3 feet of space when passing:

Currently, NY's Safe Passing Law is ambiguous and difficult to enforce. Every driver can interpret what "a safe distance" is in their own way. This needs to change. With your help and a small number of additional words, we can it happen this year.

A big thank-you goes out to Senator Tom O'Mara and Assemblyman Phil Steck who are the co-sponsors of this bi-partisan amendment A9189 / S6649.
