Why is New York City, or Long Island, where the cyclist crash rate death exceeds NYC, Connecticut and New Jersey, still such a difficult place to bike. It all comes down to safety. If you ask the average New Yorker why they don't bike to work in New York, the most common answer you will get is "it's dangerous". The roads in New York were built for cars, not bikes, and this battle between the two rages on.
It is with that thought process that we launched New York Bike Safety.Org. The project of the Personal Injury Law Firm of Flanzig and Flanzig, LLP, New York's Bike and Cycle Lawyers to help promote safe cycling in New York and provide a resource for cycling enthusiasts in New York.
This page is provided to cyclists to offer information, articles and links focused on cycling and bike safety and to help cyclists safely share the road with motor vehicles and avoid dangerous cycling conditions. It is our goal as a law firm representing the rights of injured cyclists to continue to promote cycling safety through this page as well as our other cycling advocacy efforts.
