Do you Know about the Motor Parkway East Project?

The Motor Parkway East Project

Imagine a walking, running and biking path that could take you from Suffolk to Manhattan or Brooklyn. The Motor Parkway East Project would provide a regional transportation connection that could make it happen. The Motor Parkway East would connect both Nassau and Eastern Queens to the Brooklyn Queens Green way.

It would provide an alternative and healthier way to get to work. Imagine walking or riding a bike to or from the 7 Train, or any number of LIRR stops along the way. It also provides redundancy for commuters in the event of service disruptions.

It would be an engine of economic development as it would connect business districts like Downtown Flushing, Roosevelt Field and more.

It would connect cultural and educational institutions like NY Hospital Queens, Queens College, Queensborough CC, St John's, Creedmoor Psychiatric Center, LIJ, Nassau CC, Queens Farm Museum, Bethpage Village Restoration, Citi Field, National Tennis Center and Hofstra University.

It would do all this, while giving seniors and kids walking, running and biking in a safe, traffic free environment. In short, the Motor Parkway East project would link Long Island like never before.
