Flanzig and Flanzig obtains $1,150,000.00 Million Dollar Settlement for injured TSA worker

At Flanzig and Flanzig our work of protecting injured New Yorkers is not just limited to cyclists and pedestrians.

This week we have obtained a $1,150,000.00 Million Dollar Settlement on behalf of an injured T.S.A. worker who suffered a fall at Laguardia Airport. Our client, working as a part-time TSA screener, was walking in an American Airlines Terminal at LGA when he slipped and fell as a result of a leaking roof. As a result of the fall our client suffered a knee injury requiring arthroscopic surgery. Months following the surgery he began to develop a condition know as R.S.D. or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (C.R.P.S.)

Following a lengthy litigation in the United States District Court filed against American Airlines, and an impleader action against the cleaning company hired by American Airlines, a settlement was obtained at a private mediation just prior to the start of the scheduled trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
